In 2002 I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease(Lupus, Scleroderma as well as other connective tissues diseases), and it caused damage to my lungs and it developed Interstitial Lung Disease. There is no treatment to repair the damage to my lungs, so the only option is a double lung transplant. Once i receive the transplant I will have to relocate to San Francisco for at least 6 weeks(that’s if my recovery goes 100% well). Afterwards I will have to make multiple trips to san Francisco which is 85 miles each way.
