To honor Latoya S. Cameron and her illustrious 18 years as an educator, guidance counselor, and advocate for kids, Latoya's family and friends established the Latoya S. Cameron Scholarship Foundation, Inc. April 29, 2020.
Latoya had a zest for life. She seized every moment of her 42 years by desiring not to simply exist but to LIVE a life of action, love, and inspiration. With her infectious laughter and warm heart, she uplifted and inspired her family, friends, and most importantly her students. As she lived her life according to her mantra, “Carpe Diem," Latoya, a staunch champion of academic excellence, worked to instill her same thirst for knowledge and adventure in her students.
The purpose of this foundation is to continue Latoya’s commitment to developing the lives of our youth. Furthermore, as Latoya dedicated her life to advancing students in their quest toward higher education and academic achievement, we aspire to continue her legacy by establishing a scholarship fund that will support high school students who are seeking a career in education, social justice, or education disciplines. Please join us as we continue her devotion to educating our future leaders by making a donation to the LSC Scholarship Foundation, Inc. fund.
