Latonya’s Battle with Multiple Myeloma and Lupus

Hi, we have created this fundraiser to support and release some burdens from our mother Latonya. For most our lives our mother has battled illnesses; lupus, colon cancer, ruptured appendix, Avascular necrosis of the bone, and more. Somehow this amazing mother of 10 has fought through all of it. Recently, she was diagnosed with smoldering myeloma and in less than a year it progressed from precancerous to stage 1. Our mother is self employed and cannot take time off work, and as the provider of her home she still must find a way to pay her bills. In addition, most of her medical expenses are out of pocket, which are extremely expensive. We are looking for any love offerings to help rid away the financial stress of bills so she can preserve her energy to fight this cancer. She has 4 children remaining in the home she has to provide for, home expenses, medications, copayments, and paying for an assistant to help with her business now that her mobility is limited. She is also starting treatment this month to prepare her body for a stem cell transplant, which a large percentage is patient responsibility as an elective treatment option. We are also trying to start meal planning to help provide a proper diet which helps with her Myeloma; we could use any food donations or organizations that would love to help.
