After raising funds, all donations will be carefully recorded and transparently published to ensure that everyone’s contributions are accounted for and that your support has made a real impact.

Without further ado, let us share why this campaign is so important. On the night of November 22nd, 2024, tragedy struck Dorpsstraat in Assendelft, as a devastating house fire destroyed the home of one of the most vibrant members of our community. Our dear friend Lis—a passionate salsa dancer and beloved figure in the dance world—lost a lot in the fire that engulfed her home. Thankfully, she is safe, but her house is now uninhabitable, and she has been left with almost nothing but the clothes on her back.

For those who know her, Lis is not just a dancer—she is an inspiration. Her joy, energy, and love for life have been a beacon in the Latin dance community and beyond. Whether on the dance floor or in day-to-day life, she has always been there for others, radiating positivity and spreading joy wherever she goes.

Now, it’s our turn to give back.

The fire not only destroyed her home but also took away her sense of stability, comfort, and safety. From cherished memories to daily essentials, she has lost it all. Starting over from scratch is a daunting challenge, and that’s where we, as her friends, the dance community, and compassionate supporters, can step in to help.

Our Goal: One Community, One Euro

We’re asking for your help to rebuild her life. Our goal is to unite 20,000 people—yes, you read that right!—to each donate just €5. It’s not about a single person giving a lot; it’s about the power of community coming together, one small gesture at a time, to make a big difference.
