We come to you today with a heavy heart, but also a sense of hope and love for our dear friend Latifa Ward. She's recently undergone heart surgery, and although she is out of danger, the financial strain on her has been immense. Just a few days ago, Latifa was focused on her health and trying to get in the best shape as possible. While working out at a local facility, she experienced sudden intense pain in her chest. She was immediately sent to the emergency room. CT scans revealed a tear in her heart and it was deemed that surgery needed to be performed immediately. Surgeons replaced her aorta and performed a heart bypass, thus saving her life.

We are all grateful that the surgery went well, and that she is on the road to recovery. However, the cost of the surgery, aftercare, rehabilitation and supervision, coupled with the loss of income due to her extended leave of absence from work is an enormous strain.

We are reaching out to you all for help. A small donation can go a long way in helping her cover the costs of this unexpected surgery and recover from the financial loss she has experienced.
