Support for Funeral, Repatriation & Family Assistance

It is with deep sorrow that we share the sudden and tragic passing of Chandan Kumar Raja Nanda Kumar, who lost his life in a recent shooting incident in Toronto. His passing was completely unexpected and has left his family, friends, and community in shock and grief.

Chandan was a devoted son and a kind, compassionate individual who touched many lives. His parents, who reside in Bangalore, India, are facing the unimaginable pain of losing their only child, along with the emotional and financial burden that comes with this tragedy.

This fundraiser has been created to help cover the immediate and necessary expenses, including:

Funeral and related services in Canada

Documentation and transportation costs

Repatriation of his mortal remains to India

Support for his parents during this extremely difficult time

Any remaining funds after covering the above expenses will be sent directly to his parents to assist them with related costs and family support.

About the Organizer & Use of Funds

This fundraiser is organized by Thipparajasetty Babu, who is acting as the family-authorized local representative in Canada for Chandan’s parents. I am not fundraising for myself and will not personally benefit from these funds.

The intended beneficiaries of this fundraiser are Chandan’s parents, who are his only immediate family and next of kin.

With their consent, I am temporarily managing the funds in Canada in order to:

Pay funeral and repatriation expenses

Cover required documentation and transportation costs

Transfer the remaining funds directly to his parents in India

Once all immediate expenses are settled, any remaining funds will be securely transferred to his parents via international bank transfer. I am acting solely as a custodian of these funds to ensure they are used responsibly and strictly for the purposes described above.

All funds raised will be handled with transparency and accountability.
