Last Year of Nursing School: Help Me Cross the Finish Line

I ask you to read this with an open heart and mind.

Hi, My name is Nettie Brown. I am a full-time nursing student working toward my BSN while also working full-time as a medical assistant.

I have finally made it to my last year of nursing school, something I have fought long and hard for.

Unfortunately, I have reached a financial hurdle: I have exhausted all available financial aid, and to complete my degree, I now have to pay the remaining tuition out of pocket.

Since I was a little girl, I always knew I wanted to work in healthcare.

Helping people, bringing comfort, and making a difference in people’s lives has always been my passion.

Through my own experiences, especially the care nurses gave to me and my family during some of the hardest times of our lives, I’ve learned that nurses are the heart of healthcare.

In today’s world, nurses not only care for patients but also grow as providers, touching lives in ways that change families forever. The dream I’ve always had since I was a little girl.

After a long, painful journey, including losing both of my parents, I made a promise to myself, for them, and for every future patient:

I will turn my pain into purpose, and I will show up for others the way nurses showed up for me.

This is not my first time pursuing my dreams.

Years ago, I wasn’t able to finish school because of financial hardship. This time, I am fighting with everything I have not to let anything stop me.

Choosing a private BSN program was not easy, but it was the best decision for where I am in life.

Now, I am humbly asking for your help to cross this final hurdle and finish what I started.

The remaining balance for my final year is $35,000,
