Hi friends and family

This is one of those posts I never imagined writing, but here we are.

As a lot of you know, I just completed the final class of my Master’s program. This week I received the invoice for it: $1,667. In order to enroll in my thesis classes and officially finish my degree, this balance has to be paid first.

I love teaching, I love my students, and I truly believe in the work I do, but I’ll be honest: it’s just rough out here for teachers. Between everyday expenses and life being… life, I don’t have this amount available right now, and I don’t want to take on more debt if I can avoid it.

So I’m humbly asking for a little community help to get me across this last hurdle. Any amount (truly, even $5) brings me closer to finishing something I’ve worked incredibly hard for.

Hola familia y amistades

Esta es una de esas publicaciones que nunca pensé escribir, pero aquí vamos.

Como muchos ya saben, acabo de completar la última clase de mi programa de Maestría. Esta semana recibí la cuenta final: $1,667. Para poder inscribirme en mis clases de tesis y terminar oficialmente, primero tengo que pagar este balance.

Ustedes saben que amo ser maestra, amo a mis estudiantes y creo profundamente en la educación. Pero siendo sincera, la situación económica está difícil, especialmente para los maestros. En este momento no tengo ese dinero disponible y no quiero endeudarme más si puedo evitarlo.

Desde el lugar más humilde de mi corazón, les estoy pidiendo un poquito de ayuda para poder finalizar este último paso. Cualquier aportación, aunque sea pequeña, ayuda muchísimo y me acerca a cumplir una meta por la que he trabajado con tanto esfuerzo.
