Hi,
Thanks so much for the part you’ve played up to this point - we wanted to give people an update and thought this was a good time to do that.
Thanks to the generosity and care of so many of you, we have been able to get Josh started at Loretto and he is just about to finish his first term. It’s been a great move for him which has seen him represent the school in various golf matches and also resulted in a cut in his handicap (he’s now playing off 2 for those who understand☺️). His goal for next season is to aim for scratch.
Josh has benefited from all aspects of life at Loretto so far and has also just completed his first set of internal exams - so far these have gone encouragingly well.
Loretto really is allowing Josh the opportunity to get a fantastic education (which we believe to be hugely important) whilst also accessing incredible golf coaching, state of the art indoor facilities, strength and conditioning programmes, nutritional advice and a tailored golf programme for him - something we just couldn’t replicate anywhere else.
Josh’s dream remains a big one - his desire to play as a professional continues to be what he is striving for and, as his parents/family, we long to continue to give him the opportunities to achieve this. We believe Loretto is giving him the chance to succeed whilst becoming the best version of himself in the process.
All travel and competitions, golf equipment etc continue to funded by us (and anyone who knows anything about the sport will understand the costs involved). We will continue to do this whilst also contributing what we can to his Loretto fees. However, we continue to have a shortfall. Again, reaching out in this way is not easy nor do we take the support we have received for granted.
Josh has drafted a separate letter which you are welcome to read and if you reach out, we can email this across separately. Perhaps you might know of a business who may be willing to offer some sponsorship- this separate letter would be ideal for them.
We fully appreciate there are bigger problems in the world and times are tough for many. We are sorry if this seems a really selfish ask but we are just trying to continue to make this dream a reality for our boy.
This is a huge ask and it’s not been an easy one. Please do reach out if you would like to chat with Josh or us further about this. We appreciate and value any continued support and you can be assured it will not be taken for granted at all.
Thanks for reading this and taking the time to even consider supporting Josh.
much love to you all,
Connor, Jo & Josh x
