The Food for Thought Project was founded in 2015 by Elin Karlsson to help youths in poverty to study at university in the island of Mindoro, Philippines. The Food for Thought team consists of Elin Karlsson, Marvil Iglesias and Melinda Jacobsson Silayan.
We believe that everyone should have the right to a higher education. This not only increases an individual’s chances of a better quality of life in the future, but it also helps the intellectual and professional capital of their village and the island in general.
Today, we are in the middle of supporting Jerson Ramos, a young ambitious student aiming to be a future medical technician and is currently on his 6th out of 8 semesters at Luna Goco College in Calapan, Mindoro.
One semester costs around 1200-1600€. Right now, we have about 650€ left to reach our goal for this 6th semester.
All proceed go directly to the beneficiary. And we mean ALL.
