Update & Thank You ❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and shared so far — we are beyond grateful.

Bear is now home from the specialist hospital and recovering after his emergency surgery. While this is a huge step forward, he is still very fragile and needs round-the-clock care.

Bear is on strict crate rest and requires help with expressing his bladder, pain management, and close monitoring as his body begins to heal. His recovery will be long and slow, and he will need ongoing veterinary follow-ups, medication, and rehabilitation to give him the best possible chance of walking again.

We are doing everything we can to support him through this next stage, but the aftercare and recovery costs are significant. We still need as much help as possible to get Bear through this critical period.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with Bear and supporting his recovery. ❤️

⸻

Last night, our family’s world shattered without warning.

Bear, our beautiful 3-year-old French Bulldog, suddenly lost the ability to use his back legs. One moment he was fine, the next he was dragging himself, confused and scared, unable to stand. We rushed him to the emergency vet, terrified and desperate for answers.

Bear was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) — a serious spinal condition that can cause paralysis and extreme pain. Without urgent treatment, Bear could have lost his ability to walk permanently.

Bear was rushed to a specialist hospital, where scans confirmed Stage 5 IVDD, and he was taken straight into emergency surgery. Thankfully, the operation was successful — but surgery was only the beginning of his fight.

Bear is not “just a dog.”
He is family.
He is comfort, laughter, and unconditional love.
He sleeps beside our children, follows them everywhere, and makes every day brighter.

Bear is only 3 years old. He is otherwise healthy, and with treatment and dedicated aftercare, he has a real chance to recover and walk again.

The cost of Bear’s emergency care, specialist treatment, surgery, and recovery is £6000
. We are trying to raise £4,000 to help cover these costs and give him the fighting chance he deserves. This decision is not about convenience — it’s about saving a life that means everything to us.

Watching Bear unable to move, in pain and confusion, has been devastating. The thought of him suffering, or our children losing him, is unbearable.

Every single donation — no matter how small — goes directly toward Bear’s treatment and recovery. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser could truly save his life.

Please help us give Bear the chance to heal, walk again, and live the happy life that was taken from him so suddenly.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us and fighting for Bear.
Please keep Bear in your prayers — even a share means more than you know. ❤️
