Hello, I am a single mother of 3 kids. This is something I have not done and my last resort. I am just praying that this will help. I am currently asking for donations for last months and this months rent. I was working in the mortgage industry as a Compliance Specialist, but got laid off due to the the market. Then I worked a 6 months contract job, but that has ended a few months ago. I used all my last checks to pay bills, but wasn't able to find a new job in time before rent was due last month. I managed to pay other bills that I could. I have went to a local church in my area but they have ran out of funds for the year already. They did give me a list of resources, but I still haven't been able to find another church who services my area. (Katy, TX 77449). I have not went to the extreme to find a part time job Bartending at a lounge for a week now, but the place just opened up so business has been kind of slow. I am currently in process of getting my accident, health and life insurance license, but it is a process. I have spend the last 3 weeks completing my online course, which I just completed 2 days ago. I do have my state exam scheduled on 11/20 which I am studying for right now. Once I pass the state exam, I then have to get my fingerprints done, and file my application. The will take me additionally $150., but I do know it will be worth it once I complete it. I am already contracted with a company as a Benefits Advisor and will have to complete 2 weeks training with them, then I will be able to start receiving payment for applications completed. Once I get all this going, I know I will be able to get back on track again. I just need help to pay the rent for last month and this month and late fees are stacking up day by day. The manager has already reached out to me and advised they will have to file eviction this week. We live in a great area and the best school district in the state (Katy ISD); I would hate to move the kids and lose our home.
