“Last Laugh” and “Florist” are two upcoming short films being made by a collective of young emerging filmmakers in East Anglia. Both films aim to showcase the beauty of the East Coast, support local business and give this region the exposure it deserves.
Paradigm Productions is a new and vibrant collective of filmmakers, primarily based in and working in the East of England. Having worked together on numerous other projects, most notably on Father’s Day (2024) and Birdwatcher (2025), which were both shot in and inspired by East Anglia, and have gone on to receive official recognition in film festivals.
We are ready to make an impact on the industry in 2026, starting with our two back-to-back short films!
About the films:
Last Laugh is a chilling horror film about a university student who sets out to decipher humanity’s earliest recorded joke. Once she uncovers the contents of the text, a sinister force is unleashed.
Florist follows an overbearing mother who desperately clings to her ambitious daughter as she battles between sharing the news of a university offer letter or withholding the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Only with your generous donations can this ambitious goal be achieved. We are doing all we can to keep our efficient shoots low cost. Your donations will be used to cover all equipment expenses, festival submission costs, props and set dressing, insurance, and to keep our talented cast and crew well fed and cared for on set.
All donors, no matter the size of donation, will be recognised and receive a special thanks in the credits of both films. Additionally, once post-production concludes on each film, you will receive a private link to watch them ahead of their public debut.
Executive Producer credits are awarded to all donors who contribute £100GBP or more.
