My fiancé and I have been trying to have a baby since 2024. But up until today, we’ve experienced three heartbreaking miscarriages.
We’ve always loved each other deeply, and our life together has been full of happiness and care. But because of my fiancé’s family history and my complicated circumstances, we weren’t able to try for a child earlier. This year, she’s turning 40. After trying, we thankfully conceived.
I can’t describe the overwhelming joy we felt.
My fiancé, having grown up alone after losing both of her parents at a young age, our baby was her first real connection to a blood related family—something she has longed for her entire life. The baby also gave us a renewed sense of purpose.
But that joy was short-lived.
We lost the baby.
The grief was unbearable. The happiness we once felt was replaced by a pain that lingered endlessly. And then against all odds, we were given two more chances. But both pregnancies ended in miscarriage again. After the third loss, we sank into a deep depression, struggling with guilt and hopelessness.
It has been one of the hardest periods of our lives.
After speaking with our doctor, we were strongly advised to try IVF. But IVF is not only emotionally overwhelming—it’s also incredibly expensive. Because of the depression and physical recovery following the miscarriages, my fiancé hasn’t been able to work. And with all our prior medical expenses, I can’t even afford the counseling she needs to begin healing.
To make matters more difficult, our cat Midori recently had a life-threatening medical emergency that required urgent care, something that also impacted us emotionally and financially.
Given my fiancé’s age and the medical issues contributing to our miscarriages, IVF is now our last hope for having a child.
Asking for help, especially publicly, is not something that comes easily for either of us.
We have always carried everything on our own. No matter how hard things get but right now… we’re both exhausted. And we’re out of options.
We’re not just asking for money.
If you know us or even if you don’t, would you please consider keeping us in your thoughts and prayers? Just knowing that someone is thinking of us means more than we can express. If you are going through what we are going through, we want you to know that we understand. We really hope for a miracle for you.
If you’re able to contribute financially, your support would go directly toward the cost of IVF and the necessary testing to move forward. IVF is extremely expensive, and I am currently the sole provider. I am still paying off the debt from our previous emergency room visits and fertility treatments. Your help would mean the world to us.
This may be our last chance.
We are truly, deeply grateful for every prayer, every share, and every donation.
Thank you so much for reading, and for standing with us on this journey.
If you’re holding your children close tonight, please remember how precious they are… and give them a little extra love on our behalf.
With all our hearts,
Brandon and Suyeon.
