My amazing, kind-hearted mother, Gloria Graf-Davidson, needs funding to pay for the recovery of her ONE GOOD ARM.
We expect the healing process to be costly and complex due to the fact that she is an incomplete paraplegic. Her spine and legs were partially injured in a car crash, her neck in another crash, and finally her left arm was later injured beyond repair by some incompetent medics. Despite living in constant pain, she always has a smile on her face for everyone and tries her best to make do with what she has. Her right arm is the ONLY limb that functions properly, and currently it has been dislocated-twice!
That's right, after she went to the doctor the first time to get it reset, she also had intense pain in her elbow and returned to emerg the next day. Doctors suspect a fractured elbow. When an MRI was requested, she was asked to put her right arm over her head, and her shoulder dislocated AGAIN! At least the medical staff were profusely apologetic, and my mom, with her gentle nature forgave them. However, to give you an idea of the pain level, my mom said, "I've given birth to three children - I can honestly say this pain was worse."
This lady is a complete sweetheart. Despite everything she’s gone through, she's recently gone back to school to earn her MA Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care and she has one year left. Her job involves being a spiritual advisor who can also lead worship services like funerals and provide confidential counseling. She is volunteer Chaplain at Samaritan Place for the homeless and she and my step-dad also volunteer at the local food bank and even use their online website business to support charities. Having their own small business means that these folks don't have medical insurance.
That's why I’m asking for your help. This incredible lady Gloria needs our support now more than ever. She deserves a chance to complete her education to minister to her community without the added burden of financial hardship. Whatever you’re able to donate, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
