Assalamu alaikum,

Alhamdulillah, thanks to everyone who contributed, the first Ramadan iftar fundraiser reached its goal and students at my father’s Islamic school in Guinea were able to break their fast together.

With the blessed last ten nights of Ramadan beginning, I’ve opened another opportunity for anyone who would like to take part in sponsoring iftar for the students who dedicate their time to memorizing and reciting the Qur’an.

One full iftar costs $120 and feeds many students.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever provides iftar for a fasting person will receive a reward like theirs, without reducing the reward of the fasting person in any way.”

These nights may include Laylat al-Qadr, a night that is better than a thousand months. Even the smallest contribution can be a share in the reward of every student who breaks their fast.

There is no pressure at all — this is simply an opportunity for those who would like to give for the sake of Allah.

May Allah accept our fasting, our sadaqah, and our du’as during these blessed nights
