Laska needs life saving surgery

Last week's oncology consult showed a 6x4 inch mass on Laska's liver. The bad news is that it's on the right side, but the good news is it's pedunculated so it should be easier to get clean margins without causing a major bleed. The mass is pressing on part of her stomach and we think that could be why she just randomly pukes bile sometimes, something that has increased in frequency lately. Im told that due to her age, there's a 70% chance this thing is malignant - which needs to come out for obvious reasons. If it's benign, it still needs to come out because it will cause a rupture and she would die from bleeding out internally.

This is a MAJOR surgery and will cost around 7k (maybe 5k, depending on what they need to do). This will be classified as an exploratory surgery since we wanted to opt-out of the CT scan as that would add another 2k to the bill. 

Her surgery is scheduled for April 13th. And, naturally, I'm a hot mess.

A lot of you are aware that I was out of work for more than 12 months, and during that time I had to use a good bit of my savings to take care of basic needs like rent and food. Obviously, I  will not deny my girl the care that she needs, but the financial piece is daunting at best. I will be creating a Go-Fund-Me sometime soon, and if any of you feel called to donate we would love the help.

I love her more than my own life and WILL ALWAYS PROTECT HER and do RIGHT by her. Always.

I'm scared of this surgery, but it needs to be done so that she can LIVE a happy, healthy life.
