Help deesh get LASIK for her eyeballs

Hey y’all, I really hate that it’s come to this but I’ve never asked for anything and now I’m in a tough spot. I’m struggling to come up with the rest of the money for my lasik appointment that’s coming up really soon.

The procedure will cost $5380CAD. I have saved up a portion of it but it’s not enough. My plan was to put down $3000 and then to finance the rest. I’m unable to finance the operation at this time because according to my income from last year, I do not qualify. Unfortunately my work was closed for 7+ months of last year due to covid restrictions and in turn that made my claimable income insufficient for financing. The surgery is considered cosmetic and is not covered but in reality it’s not optional for me, I’m losing my vision and it’s become quite urgent. The more I wait for the procedure, the more it’s going to end up costing as my eyes continue to degrade. Eventually I won’t be eligible for the surgery at all since my eye sight is already very very bad. I’ve worn glasses since grade 3 and I can’t function without them. I’m beyond ready to have my life back and being able to see with my own eyeballs will be a huge improvement to my life. Every attempt I make to save up is met with hardships that require immediate attention which has put Lasik on the back burner for way too long and I’m running out of time. 

I know the holidays are upon us and everyone works hard for their money, asking for a handout feels so wrong and I wish I had another option. I will genuinely be eternally grateful for any help with this at all. Thank you for even reading this far, this really means the world to me
