It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, and friend, Alma Leticia Felix Vizcaino.
Alma fought stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer for over a year with incredible strength and fierceness.
She was a surrogate mother and protector to so many in the inner city. And as a caregiver, she directly tended to the most vulnerable with compassion and grace.
Alma was a strong advocate for accessible housing, victims of domestic violence, and those struggling with addiction—serving in forums with the Mayor, city council, and non-profits—she spoke on behalf of a number of coalitions, working to effect real change in the community.
Her absence will be deeply felt, but the impact of her remarkable life and work will forever resonate throughout the streets and hearts of Los Angeles.
We love you forever Alma
