Larry’s lung transplant costs

I am creating this goFundme for our dearest friend, and family member Larry. Larry was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis last April 2023. He has had a tough go with breathing and been put on oxygen and fighting hard to maintain his body as his pulmonary fibrosis has taken over, and made it difficult for normal activities and daily tasks he was used to. Larry had been put on the donor list for a lung transplant and was recently accepted on the list to be allowed for new lungs. At this point it means he can get the call at any moment and will be on his way to getting the transplant done in Edmonton for the organ transplant of his new lungs. There is a small portion that gets covered medically, but he will have to provide all the funds to live in Edmonton as this takes place with someone and the costs of food, shelter and other expenses for them while he’s healing. We are looking to make this process a lot easier as the costs can rack up and are not cheap.

As most of us know Larry is a person who has always given his time to help absolutely everyone and is the greatest friend/family member to everyone, always helping and doing things when he could. We would like to try and help him this time.

Larry is very grateful for his opportunity to be on this list for organ transplant and feels the importance of donating organs needs to be talked about more and hopes this encourages people to see the value in becoming an organ donor and how it can give someone a change at life again!
