Larry’s Fight Against Brain Cancer – Help Us Bring Home

Hello everyone, peace be to all. My name is Marcus Henson and here is my Dad story.

On February 9th, our lives changed forever. My father, Larry, a man full of life, laughter, and love, was involved in a serious car accident. He suffered a concussion, lacerations, and a broken nose — injuries that would be difficult for anyone to endure.

While he was recovering, we received devastating news: Larry’s brain tumors had returned.

Five years ago, my dad bravely fought and overcame brain cancer. We were blessed with more time — he spent it creating new memories, traveling, spreading laughter, and working hard every day with strength and gratitude, serving others by delivering newspapers to his local community. His courage inspired everyone around him.

But now, after the accident, the cancer has come back. Since March, Larry has been hospitalized for over 9 weeks with no end in sight. He is now on a feeding tube, central line, and has become increasingly frail. Watching him fight for his life is heartbreaking, but even in his most difficult moments, his spirit shines through — full of love, hope, and determination.

We are raising funds to help cover his mounting medical expenses, provide the specialized care he needs, and support his journey toward recovery. Also, the funds would help his wife of 47 years, my mother, as she decided to struggle financially and not go back to work in order to be by his side every day. Every donation will help relieve some of the financial burden so that we can focus on giving Larry the best possible care — and ultimately, bring him home.

Larry has always been there for others and he is well known for his huge heart — offering a helping hand, a funny joke or a smile, and unwavering love. Now, he needs us.
