Larry Wright Funeral and Memorial

Lawrence “Larry” Ivan Wright, 65, passed away due to complications after a fall at home on Sunday, November 13th, 2022.

Larry was born November 3, 1957 in Salt Lake City, UT to JoAnn and Lawrence K. Wright.

Larry graduated from Westminster College with a bachelor's degree in business. He started his career at the LDS Printing Center and worked in different capacities for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, for over 43 years. His work colleagues remember Larry as a friend, a hard-worker and dedicated to his profession.

Larry married Shirley (Anderson) Wright on October 23rd, 1980. The two were lifelong companions and best friends until the end. They had two boys: Andrew and Phillip.

Larry loved helping others and doing fun things with his family. His grandson, Caden, was the light of his life and he enjoyed every moment of being the best “Bompa'' he could be. He loved Diet Pepsi, spicy food, sci-fi movies, and late night ice cream, and the ever so frequent sarcastic joke.

Larry is survived by his wife, Shirley; his two children, Andrew Larry and Phillip Ralph; his daughter-in-law, Emillie; his grandson, Caden; his favorite little dog, Ginger (his princess); his siblings: Gloria (Paul), Leonard, Paul (Pam); and many, many friends and family.

Larry will always be remembered as a great man who cared about and helped everyone around him. His care, love, and compassion for others knew no bounds. He will always be in our hearts and thoughts.

We will love and miss you Daddy Larry/Bompa.

A funeral will be held in his honor at the church in West Jordan (9376 S 4000 W, West Jordan, UT 84088) on Saturday, November 19, 2022. A viewing will start at 9am and the funeral at 11am. The burial will be at Memorial Redwood Cemetery (6500 S Redwood Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84123). For those unable to attend, services will be streamed via Zoom.
