Larry & Wendy Reed were in a devastating motorcycle accident on June 11th. Larry has been in the ICU at UAB and was recently transferred to Spain Rehabilitation. Larry had multiple injuries, including a broken femur, broken wrist, broken ribs, and multiple brain bleeds. In addition, he is being fed through a tube in his stomach due to injuries in his neck and throat.

Wendy was very beaten up and bruised but sustained no major injuries. However, a CT scan taken the night of the accident revealed a large, previously unknown brain tumor. Although it is believed to be benign, she must have surgery as soon as possible to avoid serious complications.

Caregivers will be needed for Larry while Wendy is recovering from surgery and for an unknown period thereafter.
