Please join us for a celebration of Larry Meier's musical and civic adventures in Vermont.

THANK YOU to everyone who donated to help reach our goal! All donations beyond the $3,000 goal will go to a non-profit organization of Larry's choice.
Larry has been a cellist, patron and leader of music and non-profit organizations for decades in Vermont.
He is a founding member of the Champlain Philharmonic, where he has performed as section and principal cello, and served as chair of the board of directors since its inception.
Larry supported nurturing more creative and thriving communities as a founding board member and president of the Community Engagement Lab.
His passion for the cello and classical music also led him to perform as a regular member of the Green Mountain Mahler Festival Orchestra, and many chamber ensembles over the years.
This special event will celebrate Larry's love of music and his dedication to strengthening non-profit organizations throughout the state.
To honor Larry's musical and civic contributions to Vermont, composer and double bassist Evan Premo has been commissioned to write a piece for cello and bass, which will be premiered at this event.
Cellist John Dunlop (principal cello of the Vermont Symphony) and Evan will be the soloists. Other friends of Larry's will perform short selections to create an evening of musical adventures.
All donations will be applied to the cost of commissioning and premiering Evan's new work, and as such your name will be permanently listed on the music as a "co-commissioner."
When making a donation, you can share thoughts on your experiences with Larry, which we will collect and present to him at the event.
The program will be approximately 45 minutes long, followed by a reception with Larry.
All of Larry's friends are invited, whether or not you have a musical or civic connection to his work.
You do not need to donate to attend the event.
Please confirm whether or not you plan to attend in the comment section when making your donation, so we have an idea of how many to plan for.
