What does it mean to live with awareness and a higher purpose? How do we cultivate resilience, clarity, and courage in the face of life’s challenges? Drawing from 50 years of global coaching, consulting, and leadership development — and my own life journey — I invite you to explore what I call Practical Wisdom: timeless lessons learned through lived experience and applied in the real world.

Through a variety of real stories, I share pivotal moments from my life — from growing up on the basketball courts of the New Jersey shore and becoming a collegiate basketball player; being drafted into the army during the Vietnam war; starting a career path to become a college professor; meeting life-affirming mentors, spiritual awakening, spending years as a monk; to working with leaders, athletes, and a diverse range of people around the world. My message is simple, yet I believe, profound and life transforming: "your story holds the key to the purpose of your life's journey."

My stories will help the reader:

• Recognize the wisdom in their own stories — and use those lessons to guide decisions and shape their future.

• Live with heart and purpose — making choices aligned with their deepest values and gifts.

Therefore, I'm excited to dive into book two, sharing the profound wisdom and techniques that I’ve been taught and encountered on my life journey; and helping readers define and clarify their own life journey and sense of purpose. We’ll explore the integration of eastern and western approaches to psychology, human development, and the deeper understanding the mind. Also we'll explore the immense value I found in studying, practicing, learning, and traveling the world with a unique and wise sage and holy man, Baba Muktananda, who taught me the meaning and path to real freedom.

The book will focus on the keys to finding the wise and uplifting mentors to support you in your life journey.
