On Sunday 1/13/2019 our dear friend Larry Edgecombe was in a serious motorcycle accident, resulting in 2 surgeries . Initial life saving trauma occurred Sunday afternoon, his small intestine ripped from his blood supply causing Larry to bleed out. They removed and discarded the severed intestine and reattached the good intestine back to his body, while also having to receive 10 units of blood. Larry had a 2nd surgery this past Friday to repair fractures to is T12-L1 vertebrae, he now has rods and screws in his back. Also, during this surgery they had to shave down bone that was pinching the spinal cord. He is currently working with physical therapy to help him walk again, post surgery. Once Larry is discharged he will then be in need of a 3rd surgery to repair 3 of his front teeth that were broken and detached within the gum line.
This is going to be a long road to recovery for Larry, possibly 6 months of rehabilitation. Larry is the sole provider for his family and with him being out of work for so long, we are unsure of the financial strain this will cause for them.
I am hoping we can all help them get through this time with minimal stress and worry. I know the Edgecombe family will be beyond grateful for any donation, anyone can provide.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
