My dear father, Larry Duclos ascended to heaven on March 4th, 2021.
He is survived by a blended family of 8 children, 16 grandchildren and 3 great grands and his brother Ray.. I am the youngest of the 8 and this is all such a shock.
We didn't know how ill our father was but the last weeks of his life he fought like hell to stay on this earth.
To know Larry Duclos is to know he was a giant of a man. A man that would Never dare share his misery, never dream of being a burden, Larry kept charging even if both barrels were empty.
My dad wanted the very best for those that crossed his journey and found great joy in assisting others in their climb to the mountains summit.
Make no mistake he was no sufferer of fools, he was tough.
what we know now from his doctors, his toughness is what kept him here on earth as long as it did, doing home dialysis all night long and going right to work the same day.
He life was cut short due to this pandemic, we can't muster the strength to envision life without him, but we must help our mom pick up the pieces.
With that said, his health care costs are astronomical.
Every dollar dad made was going directly to his out of pocket healthcare costs, in mind blowing amounts.
Mom and dad shared such a great love, and she's broken without him.
With no warning of his passing, this has been a devastating blow that she hasn't fully realized.
I was not aware that I could lose my father at 67, it feels much too early, so many
things I still want to say and do with him.
We are now that family who are wishing we had one more day, one more lick on the bass guitar with his sly smile and full belly laugh.
He was fun, he was a true friend, a loving person who proudly walked with christ while holding my moms hand each and every day.
With the added medical expenses we felt the need to reach out. Doing this go fund me has been a hard decision, because my mom doesn't want us to, and Dad is likely highly ticked off right now, but we need help.
