On Saturday, April 30th, Larry Bailey unexpectedly had a massive heart attack which caused him to go into cardiac arrest. His amazing coworkers immediately started CPR until paramedics came.
He was then taken to the hospital, where he had a heart cath. He then was moved to a different hospital, where a team of 16 professionals performed another surgery. He was in such severe condition that the doctors did not think he would make it through the first night in the hospital.
As everyone knows, Larry Bailey is a fighter in every sense of the word. From the moment he went into cardiac arrest until this moment, he has continued to fight to stay alive. With his will to survive and the help of so many trained professionals that immediately took action and continue to assist, Larry is alive but just starting his long road to recovery.
Currently, Larry is on a ventilator and just had surgery to place eight stents. They are hoping to ween him from the ventilator as he is able to start breathing on his own.
In true Larry fashion, he is very agitated with all the tubes and wires and wants to pull them out. Luckily, he has his wife, children, family, and friends around to give him support and remind him that he needs all the assistance he can get.
Larry being alive is a miracle, so the family asks for continuous prayers that he will continue to progress and recover.
The family does have insurance that will help cover a decent amount of medical expenses. However, since Larry is the provider in his house, there will still be a decent amount of resources needed to help cover other costs related to his recovery and rehabilitation and additional expenses that the family might need assistance with.
As this is early on, the exact amount of money needed is unknown, so any contribution, regardless of amount, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out and offered help to the family.
