Hi, my name is Larry Amer Jr., I am attempting to raise money to help cover the cost of my dad's funeral. Since he had cancer his insurance won't cover anything, even though he passed away from a different cause. And life insurance denied him a cost effective policy because of cancer, and wouldn't have paid out for another 2 years anyway. I have cut the cost of the funeral as much as I can, to the extent of me personally digging the grave and making the urn he will be buried in. However it is still over $5,000 and that is not including the headstone, I still have to figure that out. My dad passed away unexpectedly, we thought he would pass from cancer in 5 to 10 years. I know times are tough and I wish I didn't have to have this request, but if you feel it in your heart to give, any amount will help a great deal. Anything beyond what is needed will be donated to Care to Share. The Care to Share organization helped my dad out tremendously, and he always told me if he ever became rich he was going to give them a huge donation. If you don't have life insurance, please get life insurance, this burden should not be put on your loved ones after you pass.
