Larry and his family need our help

Larry Almazan is the Chef for Stanford's Tanasbourne and has been a part of the Stanford's family for nearly twenty years. He is currently in an extremely difficult and unimaginable situation. Larry has been on his path to Citizenship for some years now, but has now run into a devastating hurdle that could last up to a year. Larry traveled to his home country of Mexico last week to finalize steps in acquiring his citizenship but due to a simple misunderstanding and miscommunication in this process, he has been denied re-entry into the US- this place he has called home for the last 20 years. Though his attorneys are fighting to appeal, it is quite possible that his re-entry could take up to a full year. 

Larry's beautiful wife, Myka, whom he has been married to for almost 9 years and three amazing children Damarques (13), Yoana (7), and Isaiah (4) are understandably devastated by this news. Larry is the sole provider for his family, and in his absence there are so many unknowns and expenses that will be will be riding completely on Myka's shoulders.

This separation will cause severe financial and emotional hardship for his loving family who already misses him dearly.

 

Larry is of extremely kind nature and always puts the needs of others above his own. A humble man who has worked so very hard for his career. He is an incredibly driven and talented chef who contributes greatly to the success, innovation, and growth of the company he works for. He is highly respected by his team and colleagues and has created inseverable bonds with the team he leads, working alongside them day in and day out.

 

We are asking those who know Larry and his family, those who work within the Stanford's family, or anyone who feels it pressed upon your hearts- let’s please come together and support this outstanding man and the people who depend on him most.

 

Any funds collected will be used to help supplement living costs and any potential legal, child care or travel costs for his family.
