Laron Taylor Needs Your Help

Dear Friends and Family of Laron,
Some of you may have seen the recent posts on Facebook regarding Laron's recent diagnosis of CHF (Chronic Heart Failure). Although it is very dire if not treated, thankfully it is all but reversible with proper medication and lifestyle changes. I thought I might give you a little background and update on what has occurred for Laron in the last two months.
Laron has had, what was thought to be, a "cold" since mid-October, that seemingly got better for a few days, and then would knock the energy (and quite literally, the breath) out of him. During this time, he was using over the counter cold medications, and resting between working double shifts at Boca Rica two to three times a week along with Door Dashing during any hours that he wasn't at the restaurant. By November 17, 2023, it was obvious that this was something beyond a cold, and Laron took himself to the ER at Ascension Hospital in Ozaukee County, after his shift at the restaurant.
The ER doctor diagnosed him with bronchitis with fluid in his lungs and prescribed him with an inhaler and a Mucinex DM regimen after Laron had a CAT Scan and EKG.
On Saturday, November 25th, Laron texted me (I happen to be his next door neighbor) that he was having "trouble breathing". Thinking it was related to the bronchitis, I brought him hot tea, Tylenol, Advil and Aleve (to switch up every few hours) and a meal. Had I known better I should have taken him to the ER or called an ambulance.
Exactly a week later, Saturday, December 3rd, thankfully Laron took himself back to the hospital ER. MANY more tests were ordered and it was determined that Laron was in Chronic Heart Failure with a 35% heart function. He was admitted into the hospital in the middle of the night, and has remained there since. As of this morning 31 pounds of fluid have been removed from his body during the last three days.
Hopefully he will be released later today, pending the results of his non-stress test performed yesterday.
Again, the good news is that this condition is very treatable; although the next few weeks will require bed rest, medications, and a modification to his diet.
The bad news is that Laron hasn't been able to work, and will not be able to work for several weeks, along with incurring significant medical bills and the cost of medications. Unfortunately, up until today, Laron was without insurance. The hospital has helped him enroll in a plan that he will hopefully be able to afford going forward.
Laron needs your help desperately in order to remain in his apartment, and pay his basic bills plus medical costs. Please help. Things are dire for him; and stress is a severe factor in Chronic Heart Failure.
Thank you. With my love, and deep appreciation,
Christine Foley
