Lark's Fire Recovery and Dog Care

Hello my name is Lark - honorably discharged military veteran. I lost my apartment to a fire. I am not able to work at full capacity for 3 months during renovations. I am losing income not having a stable place to stay. My insurance only covers $6,000 for personal property. The bed I need for my chronic pain is a fraction of that.

During the fire my dog suffered severe life altering trauma which will require working with a veterinarian behaviorist and certified trainer to get her back to a good place.

My other dog completely tore all ligaments in his right knee and needs a total knee replacement.

I was initially thinking I did not need a GFM but the income loss, rent still due and other bills, I’m falling drastically behind. I cannot buy furniture or anything yet, but I’m still liable for rent until the insurance investigation is done. I’m basically starting my life all over from scratch. I hate asking for help. All I do is ruminate over the money I’ve spent helping others and get angry I never save anything for myself.
