On Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, our home caught fire early in the morning. Everything happened so fast the flames spread before we even had time to think. Now, our home is covered in smoke and char, completely unlivable. The hardest part is that all of our baby’s things his toys, clothes, bottles, bowls, everything burned to a crisp or were left buried in ash. Seeing his little things turned to nothing broke us. It’s such a helpless, heartbreaking feeling to watch your baby’s world disappear right in front of you. We’re safe, and that’s what matters most, but it still feels like our whole world flipped upside down overnight. One moment we had a home full of love and laughter the next, it’s gone. I’m so deeply thankful for the people who’ve helped us with clothes and diapers that kindness and love means more than words can ever say. But now we’re faced with finding a new place to live, replacing everything we lost, and trying to rebuild a sense of normalcy for our baby. I don’t even know how to ask for help, but we could really use it right now. Anything prayers, shares, or donations will help us get back on our feet and bring a little comfort and stability to our baby after all of this. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading our story and for caring about our family during such a painful time.
(The photos are only half of everything. These photos are where the fire initially started.)
With love,
Alex, Cory, and our baby
