Hi, my name is Larissa Pedersen and I am a 18 year old cyclist from Kitchener, Ontario. I began competitively cycling in 2021 when I fell in love with track racing. I am a member of the KW Cycling Academy and have represented my province, and country at various events including both the road and track Canadian Championships in 2023 and 2024.

This year I have been fortunate enough to race on the road for TaG cycling at the Redlands classic, and for Team Canada in The Netherlands and France, racing the Tour de Gevaudan. At the 2024 Canadian Track Championships, I won a bronze medal in the individual pursuit, a silver medal in team sprint, and a gold medal in the Madison with my teammate.

I have been selected to represent Canada at the Jr World Track Championships in Luoyang, China, in August of this year. This is the highest level of competition for my age group and I can’t wait to compete on the international stage for Canada. I am very thankful for everyone who has supported me on this journey, including my family, friends, and fellow teammates.

This spring has already taken me to Europe and this summer will take me to China for the Junior Track World Championships. Travel, project fees, keeping my bike and equipment in top condition are significant expenses, so I am seeking support to offset some of this cost.
