A Larger Sense of Self - Mural in Denver
How large is your sense of self? Do you believe you are a one man army? What about your family, friends, and city that create your daily experience? What about the trees and oceans that provide our food and the air we breath? What about the ecosystems that provide the balance that we take so much for granted? What if your sense of self incorporated the entirety of the world around you that allows you to exist?
A larger Sense of Self is meant to inspire children and adults alike to consider their larger self, take responsibility for the bigger picture of our planet and to understand that for every action is a reaction, and that all life on earth is interconnected.
With the tragedy of the virus taking hold of the country and globe many organizations that fund the arts through grants have been put on hold or cancelled all together this year - as is the case with this project. So I am seeking funding from the public! Be a part of creating some beauty in these bleak times - times where we need to think of how we affect our larger community, expand our sense of self. This mural will be one of my larger creations and a major piece in my portfolio for applying for future grants. It is also in a prime location on Broadway, visible for several blocks as you enter RINO arts district.
I am looking for bare minimum funds to make this come to fruition, anything extra above $3,000 I will be grateful to receive for my time I have put into this but will donate 20% of each additional donation to an Arts Non-Profit in need. For transparency the budget is below, the lift needed is a majority of the cost at $1775.
