My name is Lara McHugh I am 5 years old❤️ I have a rare genetic disease called spinal muscular atrophy type 1 it is the number one killer of infants under the age of 2. I was diagnosed with sma type 1 when I was 6 weeks old thankfully I got access to the miracle drug spinraza which saved my life.
SMA does not effect my brain and I am just like any other child my age I am very thankful for all my family and friends who continue to think if me when they are fundraising, all the money you raise goes towards my private weekly physio, craniosacral therapy and I hope to start hydro therapy sessions really soon. I will keep you all posted with my progress ❤️
