Hi,
6 weeks ago I attempted to end my life. This resulted in me suffering a life changing injury to my left foot. I have been told I will never walk the same again. My heel has shattered in to 7 pieces. This has left me in unimaginable pain and stuck in a wheelchair to get around long distances. I have completely lost all my independence.
The NHS have provided me with fantastic care and I am very lucky to be alive.
However, the Physiotherapy they can offer me is very basic and won’t meet my needs.
I now have the opportunity to receive private hydrotherapy. This will help my recovery massively by helping my range of movement which I can’t do standing up due to swelling and pain.
Yet, I am currently on universal credit as I’m unable to work. On my own I will never be able to afford this hydrotherapy without your help.
it is humiliating asking for external help but I am currently desperate and believe with the right therapy I will be able to walk again, despite what doctors are telling me.
