Lara and Kevin Burroughs

Hi! We are the family of Lara and Kevin Burroughs. On February 7, 2023, Kevin turned 64 years old. On that same day, he suffered a stroke and his right side was paralyzed. After 6 weeks of inpatient rehab, Kevin was discharged and brought home to begin his “new” life. Before his stroke, Kevin was Lara’s caregiver as she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2000. They always thought they had time to get their house handicapped accessible for Lara’s physical deterioration. Now, they are forced into a role reversal where the sick is taking care of the sicker. Please help us help them!! We need to get their house updated to accommodate both of their limitations. Lara and Kevin have spent their entire lives helping and serving others. They were always first in line when there was a need. Prior to Kevin’s stroke, he was a long term volunteer in the community, coaching soccer and spending endless hours as a classroom mentor at his children’s Christian school. Lara offered years of free babysitting to multiple families in their neighborhood. They both just wanted to make a difference. And in our humble opinion, they did! This is our opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
