My name is Kayla Larkin and I am the first grade teacher at an inner city public charter school in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington DC. My co-teacher David Ruffner and I are so excited to implement blended learning in our first grade classroom this year!
Blended learning is an innovative way to provide students with personalized instruction through rotating stations, technology, and individualized attention from teachers.
In order to be successful with this campaign, we need enough Chromebooks (laptops) for all 26 of our students.
Our school will be providing us with 10 Chromebooks, but we still need 16 more! All $2,500 will go towards purchasing the additional Chromebooks, which cost approximately $200 each.
