Laptops for Coburn Place

Coburn Place Safe Haven  currently has a computer lab with 5 (very old) desktop computers, but soon they are getting replaced! We are raising money to purchase at least 5 laptop computers that will permanently remain at Coburn Place.

The Indianapolis Salesforce Women in Tech Trailblazer Community Group  is working with interested Coburn Place residents in 2020 to provide Salesforce training classes to help them skill-up and prepare for careers in tech. Our training will utilize Trailhead, the free online learning tool available from Salesforce, in combination with the passion and expertise we have within our community group.

These laptops will double the size of their computer lab -- and allow residents to "check-out" devices so that, in addition to the training, they can not only continue their Salesforce training, but also build their resumes, submit job applications, and work on other tech skills -- on their own time.

Coburn Place Safe Haven is an Indianapolis-based non-profit that empowers victims of domestic violence to live as survivors. They offer services to survivors and their children including: housing, case management and advocacy, therapy, support groups, safety planning, job readiness, legal and education referrals, basic needs assistance, full children's program and a wide variety of well-being classes.
