Hello! My name is Liv, and I am running a 10k this April to bring awareness to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and help support my grandmother, Barb, who is currently undergoing treatment for Leukemia. After the very sudden loss of her husband (my grandfather) this January, the battle has gotten mentally, physically, and financially tougher. My grandmother has always been a big role model to me because she reminds me every day that I can do hard things and motivates me to never give up. Not only has my grandmother been affected by this cancer but my little cousin, Filly, has also had to endure months of treatments and doctor visits due to Leukemia. Thankfully, Filly is now cancer free! I am running this marathon in honor of both Barb and Filly, and anyone who has struggled with leukemia. As a broke college student who lives over 15 hours away the amount of help I can do its limited. So, I am asking anyone who is willing to help relieve some of the financial burden while my grandmother battles Leukemia to donate to this GoFundMe for Barb. Every step I take is a step towards hope, healing, and a brighter future for those battling Leukemia.
