In Loving Memory of LaPria Lashawn Chatman

Dear Friends and Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of an extraordinary woman, LaPria Lashawn. On Sunday, 8/25/24, Pria’s vibrant soul left this plane. Although her battle with Type 1 Diabetes (Juvenile Diabetes) & Gastroparesis was long and difficult, she left this world as our champion. Everyday was an uphill battle to survive, but she never let that keep her down as she pursued her medical degree & rejoined the workforce. She was a curious and loving individual who poured her heart & pressence into her family and cherished her pet dogs.

Pria was a source of light, laughter, and unwavering support for everyone around her. She always brought out the best in those she loved, and her kindness touched many lives. Above all, she was a devoted mother and a loyal friend. She is survived in love by her six-year-old daughter, Imani, and her partner of ten years, Ralph.

Pria’s passing was incredibly unexpected, and as we navigate this profound loss, we want to honor her memory in a way that reflects her spirit. We are raising funds to cover funeral costs, memorial services, mental health support, and the long-term care of Imani. Any contribution will go a long way in ensuring Pria receives the tribute she truly deserves, and her loved ones receive the extra help they need during this difficult time.
