Laos Orphanage Scholarship Fund
Donation protected
The orphanage, which is home to over 500 homeless and parentless children, is situated on the outskirts of Luang Prabang, Laos. The Laos government can only afford to pay $19 per month for each child for food, water, and education. These funds are enough for only 2 meals per day with little to no nutrients in them.
The orphanage has a number of children who graduated from high school at the end of June. A wage in a village will probably be $30-$40 per month if they can get any work at all. Many of the boys end up in hard labour jobs where they are underpaid and exploited, the girls in prostitution. If we can sponsor some of these students to university it will help them transition out of the orphanage with our support. Firbank is trying to find sponsorships for at least 6 of these students.
With your help, we can give these children a chance for a better future. For a total of $AUS 860, You can send an orphan to university with board, food and classes for a year covered, however, any amount will help. All money goes to cause.
Thank you for your help and contribution to give these kids a chance for a better future.
