Lansdown Lane Everesting Attempt
My name is Dan Fox. I live on Broadmoor Vale in Bath and I am a Geography teacher at Oldfield School.
On Sunday 20 July I am taking on a charity 'Everesting' attempt on Lansdown Lane. That is, I will attempt to climb the height of Mt. Everest (8849m) by repeatedly ascending a safe section of the hill (104 times if you're interested). It'll take over 12 hours. Yes, it's bonkers - one of those bucket-list things for a cyclist - but I hope to raise some money for our school association and inspire students to be ambitious, resilient and kind. I want to get more of them in to cycling. I'm also motivated by my dad, a keen ex-cyclist who has been coping with progressed Parkinson's for the past few years.
If you could spare any cash at all, it would be gratefully received. I know every penny is hard-earned.
Cheers
