Laniya Flowers 2024-2025 Miss Omega Psi Phi Pageant

Greetings and humble salutations, from the #3, the one you will want to see!

My name is Laniya Gale Flowers, a third-year student at The Florida State University majoring in Studio Art with plans to become an Art Curator, hailing from Atlanta, GA, and I would like to announce that I am officially running for the Miss Omega Psi Phi 2024-2025 Pageant for the Mighty MIGHTY Chi Theta chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.

During my time at Florida State University, being a first-generation student, I have learned that everything does not go as planned, but through God and friendship, one can always persevere. The Brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated have a motto that says, “Friendship is essential to the soul.” If I have learned nothing else in college, I have learned that friendship is something that will carry you through your hardest times. I am a true advocate for the importance of relationships and understanding those in our community. If I could say I knew someone who stood firm to this, it would have to be the Mighty Men of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. Hence why I feel our principles align so well; it would only be right to choose me to be the next Miss Omega Psi Phi.

With my platform, “How to Love,” I aspire to encourage young minorities, men and women, to learn the proper way to take on relationships. The goal of my platform is to overcome generational curses, such as domestic abuse, neglect, and stereotypes, through round table talks that are properly mediated.

In doing this pageant, it is required that contestants not only promote the competition but also fundraise any money that will be used for any material needs for both the pageant and myself during this new journey. It would be greatly appreciated for any donations, big or small; they all help. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT
