Lani’s surgery to fix her fractured hind leg.

Aloha! My name is Stacy and I’m raising money for my friend Rachel who I co-catparent Lani with. I’ve known Lani since she was a baby and she is the sister to my kitty, Sophie. They were adopted from a friend who was finding forever homes for the stray cats in her neighborhood. I wish I could say how it happened, but there is no animal interpreter for animals…yet. She just looks like she is in pain. :( During this last rain and wind gust storm the night before last, Lani somehow spiral fractured her right hind leg in two places. She came home unwitnessed, but when she stood up from a resting position she could not put her weight on her back leg. So, she was rushed to her Vet, thank goodness he had a cancelation, and the x-rays showed her leg was fractured in two spots. The surgeon provided us with options and due to the nature of the breaks, surgery was the best option to prevent chronic pain going further and she would bounce back and live her happy cat years without pain and a limp. The total cost of her surgery and current vet bill is $6830.00. To help with the cost of her surgery and vet bill, Rachel and Lani would be so appreciative of any financial gift to help offset this unexpectant cost. She’s a little therapy cat and she likes to sit on our laps while we do telehealth. She has the sweetest growl meow, like a tiny bear. She enjoys being out in nature in the yard, mostly in the evening frolicking around. She sleeps all day in our rooms keeping up company and she is good about coming in at night to sleep.
