Lani Carter, our co-worker, friend, mom, sister, daughter has yet another upcoming medical challenge.  3 Years ago, almost to the day,  Lani had lung cancer and had to have one of her lungs removed and go through chemotherapy.  That was a difficult time for her and her family, thankfully Lani made it through that difficult and trying time. Her Medical team that takes care of and watches over her and sends her for her testing through out the last few years has discovered more tumors and they are located in her pancreas. Therefore,  Lani  will be having a very extensive abdominal surgery for Pancreatic Cancer on 6/11/19.  Her expected recovery will be  6 weeks or longer depending on what is found once they do the surgery. This will already be a difficult time again for her and her family to have to go through this. 
Due to a change in our company that we work for, Paid time off (PTO) must now be accrued,. This means Lani will not have enough time to cover her time off and will not receive a pay check for at least a month or longer during her recovery.    We are asking for friends and family and anyone who hears about her story to help us raise enough funds for her and her family while she is out to help them in their time of need. As we all know bills do not stop coming and and life and living does not stop.......
