Hi there!
About five and a half years ago, a very special little guy entered my life. That guy is Langston.
I wanted a cat my whole life, but I'd never lived anywhere that would allow them, or I was too scared that my own depression would make me unable to properly be a good cat dad. But thanks to the insistence of some very, very good people in my life, I now am the proud cat dad of Langston Mews (named after the poet Langston Hughes). He has helped me feel less lonely in my life, has been my companion and writing familiar, and has just improved my life in so many ways.
When I got Langston, I made him a promise: I would keep him happy, healthy, and safe for as long as humanly possible.
And that's why I'm writing this.
Langston's been having some digestive issues of late, and while I'd scheduled his yearly check-up for next month (when I'd have money), there may be more urgency behind this. I have insurance that will reimburse me for the cost, but I'd need the money up-front in case of an actual vet visit need.
I'm hoping you're willing / able to help me keep my promise to my li'l guy.
