Alaina (Laney) Hilton - daughter of Dan and Maegan Hilton - was born 10/8/18 with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. In her short life, Laney has already undergone 3 open heart surgeries, multiple procedures, and required various invasive life support, including ECMO, ventilatory support, pressors, dialysis, etc.
 
Laney passed away on 10/30/18 in the loving arms of her parents. Dan and Meagan have been bravely, courageously, and humbly at Laney's bedside every day as they watched their sweet child fight for her life. 
 
As Dan and Meagan learn to cope with this tremendous sorrow and loss, they also have to face the insurmountable medical bills, continue to care for their older daughter Vaiola, support their family on a single-income resident salary, and now the economic hardship that comes with arranging Laney’s funeral and transporting her body to Utah so she can be lay to rest near her older brother Samson.
