Shantel Lanerie, beloved wife of Corey Lanerie and devoted mother to Brittlyn, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 22nd surrounded by loving family and friends at Norton's Women's and Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. 

The Lanerie Family has been a fixture in the horse racing community and loved by so many friends around the country. Many friends and family have so graciously expressed their thoughts, prayers and sympathy towards the family and have asked in what ways they can be of assistance. Corey and Shantel would NEVER ask anyone for anything, but they would be the first to provide something to those in need. This is a testament to the kind of people they are and why they are so loved by so many.

Shantel had been undergoing extensive and intense chemotherapy treatments and their medical bills have already begun to mount. That, coupled with the emergency situation of this past week, will only continue to create a financial burden on the Lanerie Family. 

The funds raised from this campaign will go directly to help defer costly medical bills and/or Brittlyn’s College Education, which would greatly put their minds at ease during this difficult time.
